Orange is excited to present the new 252 Preteen Strategy.
We define a preteen as a kid between the ages of 10 and 12. Creating a specific environment JUST for this age-group, will help tailor an experience for how they think, learn, feel, and grow in how they understand God and how the Bible relates to their life.
We’ll connect the scope and cycle to 252 Kids, but approach it in a way that’s perfect for the preteen mind. With 252 Preteen, we start with a question that helps set kids on a path to discover something true about God with a way for them to wrestle with it and personalize it to their unique situation.
252 Preteen is set similarly to 252 Kids, but with a few key changes:
- Preteen specific artwork and graphics will help the preteen specific environment feel relevant
- The Large Group format engages the kids through a communicator rather than a storyteller.
- Video-based retelling of the day’s Bible story or verses 252 Movie harnesses the power of viral video to help kids engage with God’s word.
Preteen small groups will challenge students to come up with their own conclusions through discussion with their trusted small group leader and group members
When it comes to connecting what happens on Sunday to the rest of the week, 252 Preteen includes all the resources you’ve come to expect from 252 Kids including:
- Parent Cue cards with prompts specific to the parent of a kid in the preteen phase
- GodTime cards to help kids dig deeper into God’s word with 4 key faith skills throughout the week
- And updated Parent Cue APP with links to videos and resources to keep parents connect with their kids throughout the week.
We are so excited about this preteen experience because we think it’s the best resource out there to keep this age group engaged with their leaders and their environment so they can continue to engage with their Heavenly Father.
